Residence de Eese is situated in a forest area in Overijssel, near Drenthe and Friesland, border on to the woodland De Woldberg and De Eese. Originaly is the park an ancient country estate, which is still apparent in the beautiful centeries-old beeches. The forest pond on the estate is 140 years old and the ground that was taken out to make the pond has given the surrounding  it’s name “De Bult” (the hillock).

In the park is wi-fi which is available against payment.

The park offers several facilities such as a restaurant with snack bar, two animal meadows, several playgrounds, a youth cafe, open-air swimming pool, tennis court, boule track, a big  forest pond and a panna football cage.

Pets are not allowed and the houses are non-smoking.

Steenwijk / Giethoorn
The canals, the many characteristic arched bridges and the farms with the thatched roofs make Giethoorn a picturesque village also called Dutch Venice. Do you want to explore Giethoorn? Rent a boat or a canoe, join a sightseeing boat,  walk or cycle over the bridges or through the National Park De Wieden. Round Steenwijk you’ll find a number of ancient, picturesque villages like Blokzijl and Vollenhove. Steenwijk itselfs offers you a city centre with shops, restaurants and cafés.

For the children there are also lots of activities, amusement park Duinenzathe, amusement park Slagharen, museum de Oude Aarde (ancient earth) or the Circus –and Fair museum. And if the weather isn’t that great then you can visit Speelstad Oranje or Plopsaland Coevorden because both amusement parks are indoor.

Vledder / Meppel
Vledder is situated near the National Park Drents Friese Wold and Friesland. Because of this unique position Vledder is special with –through it’s colonial past- a charming appearance. Next to the many hectare of forest you’ll find several monumental houses. This includes the former colony Frederiksoord where you’ll find the “Maatschappij tot Weldadigheid” (a historical museum)
The village Vledder develop into an art centre, for there are museums for grafic art, “false art”, all kind of galleries, a taste garden, etc. Art lovers won’t be disappointed. Here there is something for everyone!
In Meppel life is good . The combination of nature, space and history makes Meppel very interesting. The attractive canals, the possibilities for watersport and the many events in the town centre make Meppel a great city for everyone.

Valkenhorst
This beautiful holiday house has a big garden with playground and is situated at the rim of the park. Breakfast would be great in the attractive sun room. The living room is spacious and has more than enough furniture.
Lay-out: entrence, spacious living room with flatscreen tv and dvd, kitchen with built-in appliances, fridge-freezer, dishwasher. There are 5 bedrooms all on the ground floor. Two bathrooms, one of them with a bath. The Valkenhorst is suited for persons with a handicap.

Arendshorst
The Arendshorst is a big two floor holiday house. It has a spacious living room with a fireplace and open kitchen. Next to the living room there is a large and sunny terrace.
Lay-out: entrence, enjoyable living room with fireplace and open kitchen with built-in appliances,, dishwasser and combi microwave. Two bedrooms are on the ground floor just as a bathroom with raised toilet. On the first floor you’ll find 3 spacious bedrooms and two bathrooms with a shower, toilet and basin.

Schaapskooi (16 persons)
A unique possibility; living and sleeping separated and together…De Schaapskooi consists of two houses, one for living and one for sleeping. The houses are connected and have a large garden with terrace. Your children can play safetly, the garden is enclosed. There is also a privat parking space.
