The team of GoAfricaSafaris & Travel has a purpose to make holidays to Kenia and East-Africa possible for everybody. Esther is a enthusiastic Kenyan woman with a passion for travels and nature. She has experience in several parts of tourism and she spends her free time supporting the poor, the youth and the children in the local community. Yvonne is Dutch and she lives with her family for over 15 years in Kenya. She likes nature, adventure and she has worked for several international tour operators. Yvonne funded the Diani Children’s Village, a project for children and young people who need help. Together we have more than 15 years of experience in tourism and hotel industry. It is our dream to help make holidays for people with a disability possible, so they can enjoy this beautiful country. The last years we trained to make our dream come through.

Our safari vehicles are adapted and have access ramps and a European wheelchair locking system to ensure safe travel and handy for those guest who prefer to remain in their seat instead of making a transfer into a regular car seat. Our driver-guides have a lot of experience and will make sure you can enjoy your holiday without worries and allow you to discover the wonders of African wildlife.

We work with a wide range of safari lodges, tented camps, hotels, beach resorts and self catering cottages all of whom have made a lot of progress incorporating wheelchair access over the last few year. All major national parks now have either a lodge or camp with good access, you are not limited to visited certain areas only. In Nairobi and the Coast there are also several options, kindly have a look at our accommodation page. The level of accessibility is indicated via some symbols, just hover over the symbol and it tells you what facilities are available.
We provide the following accessories to make your holiday more easy: foldable shower/toilet chair – with or without wheels which can also be taken along on safari. Quite handy in the bush! Hoist – we provide an electrical hoist for those clients who need assistance with lifting. Beach Buggy – for those travelers who spend a few days at the beach we provide a beach buggy – Tiralo – which allows you to enjoy the sandy beaches and enter the ocean without a problem.
We also offer safaris in Tanzania where the beautiful Kilimanjaro controls the view. The Serengeti, Africa’s biggest nature reserve, the ever changing landscape and the beautiful beaches also make these safaris unforgettable.
