The Sunnymeade is a family run, very friendly, informal hotel, with a cosy licensed bar for you to use at the end of your busy day and open all year including Christmas. We are situated in our own pretty garden and surrounded by beautiful rolling green hills. The house can be entered on a level from the car park where there are spaces reserved for disabled drivers. There are no steps or slopes on the ground floor and 4 en suite bedrooms, the dining room, bar and lounge are all situated on this level.

We have 12 guest bedrooms, 4 of which are on the ground floor. All of the ground floor bedrooms are wheelchair accessible, two with walk-in shower and grab rails. The other two twin ground floor bedrooms have roll-in showers. All ground floor rooms have toilet seat raisers and grab-rails for washbasin and toilet. These bedrooms have specially adapted wide door openings and plenty of space to manoeuvre a wheelchair(as do all the ground floor rooms). The other 8 bedrooms are on the first floor. Of these, all are en suite except for 2 single rooms which share a bathroom. All of our bedrooms have tea and coffee making facilities and digital television.
We are deaf accessible and staff sign BSL. Polite, well behaved dogs over 1 year old are welcome (max 3 per reservation). Monkey poles and hoists are available for hire from a local company, if required.
 
It is just a short walk to West Down Village and approximately 3 miles from both Woolacombe, a great surfing beach (a beautiful long sandy beach, voted one of the top ten in the world) and Ilfracombe (an old Victorian town with many facilities).
 
Walking, horse riding, clay pigeon shooting, surfing, cycling and golf are just some of the activities that can be enjoyed in this area.
 
The clean, fresh air in North Devon makes a healthy appetite and to satisfy this we serve great food using fresh ingredients from the local area. We are also able to offer, when booked in advance, a home cooked, locally sourced evening dinner. Special diets (e.g. diabetic and celiac) can be accommodated and a vegetarian choice is always available.
